Eduard Wrobel

Eduard Wrobel (born July 16, 1851 in Lonkorsz in the Neumark / West Prussia district ; † March 18, 1931 in Rostock ) was a high school director in Rostock and a mathematician .

Live and act

After graduating from high school in Culm (today Chełmno in Poland) in October 1868, Wrobel began to study mathematics at the University of Greifswald in the winter semester of 1868 . There he became a member of the Greifswald fraternity Rugia in 1870 . After participating in the campaign against France in 1870/71 he attended lectures again in Greifswald and was there in February 1871 with the theme Via a movement of a material point on a spherical surface with Lazarus Fuchs PhD . He passed his teaching examination at the same university in January 1873. Later training stations were Marburg and Biedenkopf . From April 9, 1874 he worked as a senior teacher for mathematics and physics in Rostock . On October 10, 1899 he was appointed director of the large city school in Rostock and in 1902 director of the high school and secondary school in Rostock. He retired on April 1, 1924 and lived in Rostock.
