Edward J. Lakso
Edward Joseph Lakso (born September 20, 1932 - May 23, 2009 in Beverly Hills ) was an American screenwriter , producer and songwriter .
Life
Lakso worked independently throughout his life and was best known for the television series Charlie's Angels , which he also produced. In addition, he wrote numerous episodes from 1959 to 1986 for, among others, Am Fuß der Blaue Berge , Dr. Kildare , Combat (33 episodes), Crazy Wild West , Starship Enterprise , The People at Shiloh Ranch and Airwolf .
He began his career at the University of California, Los Angeles , where he also sang operas and played jazz piano . During his military service in the United States Air Force, he met the orchestra conductor Tommy Oliver , with whom he wrote a musical. His start in the film business was the film Im Todeskessel von Kusong (1959) and a collaboration with Russ Meyer .
