Edward Robert Adams (born May 24, 1934 in retreat) is former bishop of Oudtshoorn .

Life

The Pope personally ordained him a priest on January 6, 1966 . John Paul II appointed him Bishop of Oudtshoorn on May 2, 1983 .

The Archbishop of Cape Town , Owen Cardinal McCann , donated him episcopal ordination on July 16 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were Edward Idris Cassidy , Apostolic Delegate in South Africa , and George Francis Daniel , Archbishop of Pretoria and Bishop of the South African Military Ordinary .

On May 28, 2010, Pope Benedict XVI. his resignation request submitted for reasons of age.
