Francisco Fortunato de Gouveia
Francisco Fortunato de Gouveia (born June 11, 1951 in Cape Town , South Africa ) is a South African clergyman and emeritus Roman Catholic Bishop of Oudtshoorn .
Life
Francisco Fortunato de Gouveia received the sacrament of ordination for the Archdiocese of Cape Town on January 11, 1976 .
On May 28, 2010 Pope Benedict XVI appointed him . to the Bishop of Oudtshoorn. The Archbishop of Cape Town, Stephen Brislin , ordained him episcopal on July 17th of the same year ; Co- consecrators were the Apostolic Nuncio to South Africa, Archbishop James Patrick Green , and the Bishop Emeritus of Oudtshoorn, Edward Robert Adams .
Pope Francis accepted his early resignation on July 2, 2018.
