The Edwards Gap is a mountain pass located about 500 m above sea level on the Alexander I Island off the west coast of the Antarctic Peninsula . In the Walton Mountains , it is south of Mount McArthur .
The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it on December 8, 1977 after Christopher William Edwards (* 1950), geologist of the British Antarctic Survey on Stonington Island from 1973-1975, who mapped the area around this mountain pass.
