Edwin Juergensen

Edwin Max Eduard Jürgensen (born May 24, 1898 in Cologne , † April 1, 1947 in Berlin ; also known as Edwin Jürgenssen ) was a German actor .

Life

Edwin Jürgensen was the son of the businessman Georg Jürgensen and his wife Lisette. During his military service, which he performed from 1941 to 1944, there is evidence that he was also a member of the ensemble of the Berlin soldiers' theater in 1944 .

From 1930 on he worked in various film productions, often in supporting roles . Among them was the 1930 film The Flute Concerto from Sans-souci by Gustav Ucicky with Otto Fee , Renate Müller and Theodor Loos . From 1937, the man who was Sherlock Holmes by Karl Hartl with Hans Albers , Heinz Rühmann and Paul Bildt and the films with Zarah Leander Zu neue Ufern and La Habanera should be mentioned. In 1940 he could be seen in The Postmaster by Gustav Ucicky with Heinrich George , Hilde Krahl and Siegfried Breuer .

Jürgensen was married to Irmgard Stüring since 1924. They had a daughter together. Both died in 1945. Edwin Jürgensen himself died in 1947 in Berlin-Zehlendorf .
