Edwin Kipchirchir Kemboi (born June 20, 1984 ) is an Austrian marathon runner of Kenyan origin.

Career

In 2011 he finished eighth in the Verona Marathon and won the Graz Marathon . The following year he finished fourth in the Gutenberg Marathon , and in 2013 he set his personal best in ninth in the Rotterdam Marathon with 2:12:58 hours.

In 2014 he received Austrian citizenship and in the same year he became Austrian champion as the overall winner of the Salzburg Marathon .

In 2015 he came in 20th place in the Dubai Marathon and defended his championship title in the Linz Marathon as ninth overall . At the World Athletics Championships in Beijing , he finished 32nd.

With his wife Anja Prieler, he founded the sports agency Kemboi Sports Communication in 2013 .
