The former head forester's office at Heidelberger Landstrasse 171 is a building in Darmstadt-Eberstadt .
History and description
The former chief forester's house was built between 1896 and 1898 . The two-storey villa-type building was built in a country house style. A rear coach house was built in the same style. The building has a differentiated roof landscape due to the side, tower-like nested additions . The roof has a beaver tail covering . In hipped gable to Heidelberger road back is a rustic, wide wooden balcony with a deer head hunting trophy . The plastered facade has handcrafted sandstone window frames . There is also a worked weather vane with a hunting motif on the building .
