The gang around the smart Barnett lurks in a Texan town, the residents of which they have arrested in the post office, a gold transport, which they then ambush and pull away with their loot. Postmaster Doc Williams promises residents to hunt down the bandits and get the gold back. With the help of a Mexican drifter, El Loco, he escapes an attack by hired killers, escapes from prison and reaches an abandoned gold rush town where Barnett and his people are hiding. The gold is stored in a church. Little by little, Williams can turn everyone off until he can finally shoot Blackie, one of the bandits, who has turned against Barnett's group to work on his own account. But El Loco has secured the gold. Williams can find him in Mexico and secure the gold.

The somewhat nebulous film shows director Bianchini's ability to create fantastic and baroque poetry, praised by JM Sabatier in season '74.
