action

The four-member detective gang to B arth, A nja, R on and Z ettel - in short: BARZ  - takes care of all crimes in their home, the wine town of Fellbach near Stuttgart happen. Barth is characterized by strength, logical thinking and tenacity, while Anja is known for her quick-wittedness, cleverness and stubbornness. Ron comes up with extensive computer and technical knowledge, Zettel, Barth's younger brother, is responsible for closely observing and noting the evidence. Their headquarters is the watch tower in the vineyards, where they usually investigate on their own. If help is needed, the retired Detective Superintendent Schuster is at your side with advice and action, but the brothers' parents are also very supportive.

Characters

Bartholomäus "Barth" Birkenstock

Barth is the leader of the gang of detective and follows every little lead to solve a case. He lives with his younger brother on their parents' idyllic vineyard in Fellbach. The twelve-year-old is very much supported in the investigation by his parents, as they know that they can fully rely on him. After Barth had been on vacation with relatives in South Africa for a few weeks, he wanted to go back immediately and finally persuaded his parents in episode 30 "Fair Play" to let him fly. So he leaves the detective team.

Anja Westermann

Anja is responsible for the precision of the detective work and the harmony in the group. Since her parents are currently on the road as engineers in New Zealand , the twelve-year-old lives with her older sister Christina in the Wellness Hotel Schlössle , which is owned by her aunt Fanny. Anja doesn't experience a real family life like this, but some guests are good material for her detective work.

Ron Steiger

Ron is a geek and is always up to date with the latest in tech. The twelve-year-old's parents are also constantly on business trips, so that the Birkenstock family and Anja's aunt Fanny have to play surrogate parents. Because of his poor academic performance, he always has to fear that his parents will send him to boarding school. This also happens in the first episode of season 3.

Benjamin "note" Birkenstock

The younger Birkenstock brother wrote down all the important clues and information on a piece of paper, hence his nickname. The ten-year-old doesn't talk much, but thanks to his good powers of observation he still manages to provide important information and often to be in the right place at the right time.

Melanie "Bina" Becker

She appears in the first season as a supporting character and affected in episode 3 "The Oath". It seems that she falls in love with notes. At the end of the second season, she finally moves to Fellbach with her mother , where she meets her new boyfriend. And the son of this one is Roberto of all people, whom she already knows from school. In the episode “Treasure Hunt” Melanie takes on an alias, which from then on becomes her nickname: “Bi (e) na Meckerle”, an anagram of her name.

Roberto Scheffler

Roberto appears for the first time in the episode "Squirrel's Nightmare", in which he already plays a central role: He is suspected of terrorizing the French teacher. After his innocence is proven, Roberto's father wants to introduce him to his new girlfriend. And this is Melanie's mother. In the blended family there are some problems at the beginning, but eventually the situation changes for the better and Roberto becomes an official member of BARZ
