Josef Anton Ferdinand Büeler

Josef Anton Ferdinand Büeler (born October 29, 1858 in Lachen , † February 1, 1939 in Schwyz ) was a conservative politician in the Swiss canton of Schwyz . He attended the college in Schwyz and studied law in Munich , Strasbourg and Heidelberg . He graduated with a doctorate and became a lawyer in Schwyz in 1881 . From 1893 to 1912 he was a public prosecutor .

Political career

He was district man for the Schwyz district from 1886 to 1889. From 1888 to 1912 he was a member of the Cantonal Council. At the same time he was active in the Schwyz municipal council from 1890 to 1894. From 1896 to 1897 he was President of the Canton. At the same time, he joined the National Council in 1896 . After his discharge from the Cantonal he moved in 1912 for eight years for the Government , in parallel, he was director of police and military. From 1914 to 1916 he was Landammann .

Interest groups

In 1856 he founded the board of directors of the Ibach spinning mill. Bueler co-founded Elektrizitätswerk Schwyz (EWS) in 1896, and the company has been responsible for the fine distribution of electrical energy ever since. He was elected to the board of directors of Kantonalbank Schwyz in 1899. In 1909 he was promoted to colonel in the infantry. He sat on the board of directors of the Bern-Lötschberg-Simplon-Bahn from 1914 to 1919.
