Thimo Meitner (born February 13, 1994 ) is a German actor .

life and career

Meitner first came into contact with the acting field when his parents, at the age of seven, without his knowledge, applied for him to the ZDF television show Let yourself be surprised with Thomas Ohrner . There he was able to meet his idol at the time, Jan Fedder , who played Dirk Matthies in the ARD evening series Großstadtrevier . From there on, Meitner's interest in acting was aroused. In 2004, for example, he attended the children's play club at the Württemberg State Theater in Esslingen and played there for a year.

After a successful casting , he played the role of the slip in the children's and youth television series Ein Fall für BARZ from 2005 to 2007 . Since then, several TV roles have followed, including in the film Das teilte Glück (2009), which was awarded as best TV film at the Biberach Film Festival in 2010. He also took on roles in television series such as SOKO 5113 and SOKO Stuttgart as well as in short films.

In 2012 Meitner completed his Abitur in Esslingen am Neckar. Since October 2013 he has been studying acting at the Ernst Busch Academy of Dramatic Arts in Berlin .

Since 2017 he has been playing in the ZDF crime series Der Alte as Lenny Wandmann after Michael Andes left the company for reasons of age, alongside Stephanie Stumph and Ludwig Blochberger, as the third co-investigator alongside the old Jan-Gregor Kremp . However, Lenny Wandmann is not a commissioner, but a computer scientist with Asperger's Syndrome , whose tasks are in the research area and the analysis of EDP data.
