A young psychology professor has to decide whether to move around the country for her dream job or stay in her hometown to marry the man of her dreams. On a foggy December night, a coachman gives her a decision-making aid who takes her three years into the future and shows her how her life will be.

Christopher Lloyd , best known as the mad scientist Dr. Emmett Brown known from the Back to the Future trilogy plays the role of grandfather here. William Shatner , known from Starship Enterprise , can be seen in the role of the coachman.
