The Eisenmann SE (self spelling IRON MAN SE ) is an international equipment manufacturers and suppliers to the automotive industry. The company, headquartered in Böblingen, is represented in eleven countries (America, Europe, Russia, Asia). Grubenhaus AG, based in the canton of Schwyz, owns the majority of the shares.

history

In 1951 the sales engineer Eugen Eisenmann founded an engineering office with the manufacture of wood drying systems, and later painting systems. The conveyor technology division was founded in 1960 by the first circular conveyor for paint shops. Further investments in the 1960s were the first exhaust air cleaning system in 1966 and the first powder coating system in 1968.

In 1976, Germany's first cathodic dip painting facility went into operation in Böblingen. In 1995, the first operator contract for a self-designed paint shop was concluded with Seat .

In 2002, the company was initially converted into a stock corporation and finally into a European company in 2014 . All shares remain in family ownership.

The company and several subsidiaries filed for bankruptcy on July 29, 2019. The Nuremberg lawyer Joachim Exner was appointed as the preliminary insolvency administrator.

The high-temperature technology division Eisenmann Thermal Solutions, which manufactured firing lines for technical ceramics, heat treatment for aluminum products, sintering systems for powder metals and furnace systems for the production of carbon fibers, was operationally split off as a subsidiary of Onejoon Thermal Solutions on January 15, 2020.

Fields of activity

The system provider in the fields of surface technology, environmental technology, thermal process technology and material flow automation employs 1450 people in Germany, 250 internationally and around 1100 people in the operating companies (2008). Around 70 percent of the Group's sales are generated abroad. Customers include Tesla and Lamborghini .
