Electrical practitioner (training, Switzerland)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Electrical practitioner was trained in Switzerland . It was borne by the Canton of Zurich .

In 2009 the training was replaced by the training to become an " automatic fitter / in EFZ".

Course of training

The apprenticeship lasted three years. Electrical practitioners are trained in the training company and in training workshops or inter-company courses . They attend vocational school throughout their training .

If you do very well at school, you can attend vocational secondary school during basic education.

Practical training

The apprenticeship is particularly suitable for young people who are poorly educated; it is an entry-level job for the electronics industry. The basic training, which takes place in the first two years, is interdisciplinary; it includes introductory courses and specialist training. The subject area depends on the training company and can be electrical machine assembly, electrical system assembly, electronic device assembly, computer equipment assembly or metal finishing and is trained in the third year of training.

Vocational school lessons

Theoretical training takes place at the vocational schools. The subjects are language and communication , law and society , electrical engineering , mathematics , materials science , physics , technical drawings and standards and apparatus .

activities

Electrical practitioners take on simple practical work in the fields of electrical engineering and mechanics. They assemble, maintain and repair machines, devices and systems, wire electrical circuits, assemble circuit boards and carry out commissioning and functional checks.

Electrical practitioners mostly work in teams. They carry out simpler work independently, more demanding jobs under the guidance of specialized specialists.

Electrical practitioners assemble, maintain and repair electrical machines and systems as well as electronic devices. You can read corresponding plans and master the necessary material processing, assembly, connection and wiring techniques. They put fully assembled machines and devices into operation, check them and make adjustments. They use test and measuring instruments for troubleshooting and functional checks. Together with other specialists, they also build electrical controls and circuits.

Electrical practitioners work in different areas and have different main tasks depending on where they work:

In electrical machine assembly, electrical practitioners are involved in the manufacture of electric motors. They manufacture electrical windings for coils, assemble motors and carry out test runs.

In electrical systems assembly, electrical practitioners deal with control and switchgear systems. They assemble and wire apparatus, components and energy distribution systems. Finally, they check whether the systems meet the standards.

In electronic device assembly, electrical practitioners assemble electronic devices. Among other things, they assemble circuit boards. They work with the finest screwdrivers, small pliers and soldering irons, but also with automatic assembly systems.

In IT equipment assembly, electrical practitioners assemble PC components. You install and configure computers and peripherals correctly.

In metal refinement, electrical practitioners coat metal parts. They ensure beautiful, even and resistant metal surfaces. They apply their knowledge of electroplating.
