Eliane Rodrigues , often mistakenly Eliane Rodríguez , (born October 7, 1959 in Rio de Janeiro ) is a pianist of Brazilian origin.

Rodrigues had her first television appearance as a pianist with the Orquestra Sinfônica Brasileira (German: Brazilian Symphony Orchestra ) at the age of six . She received a special prize at the Van Cliburn International Piano Competition in 1977 and then gained international fame as a prizewinner of the renowned Queen Elisabeth Competition in Belgium in 1983 . A few years later she appeared in the Amsterdam Concertgebouw , the Leipzig Gewandhaus , in Paris and Hamburg and other established concert halls. Characterized as “brilliant and technically flawless” (“Die Welt”) as early as 1985, she also gave concerts in New York's Carnegie Hall or in the Salzburg Mozarteum , in Munich and Marseille .

The musician , who also works as a composer and conductor , has further commitments to Russia , for example, where she recorded all of Sergei Prokofiev's piano concertos with the St. Petersburg Philharmonic Orchestra .

On June 23, 2013 she received the 'Gouden Label' (Golden Label) Carrière from the Flemish internet magazine Klassiek Centraal . Eliane Rodrigues is professor of piano at the Royal Conservatory in Antwerp and she is the mother of three children.
