Elie Chedid
Elie Chedid , also Elia Scedid (born March 19, 1872 in Adeh al-Batrun , Lebanon , † January 18, 1950 ) was a Lebanese clergyman and archbishop of the Maronite Church .
Life
Elie Chedid received on 9 April 1898, the sacrament of Holy Orders . On April 27, 1926 he was appointed Patriarchal Vicar of Batrun in Lebanon and at the same time appointed Titular Archbishop of Cyrrhus per i Maroniti , the papal confirmation took place on June 21 of the same year. He was ordained bishop on September 20, 1926, by the Maronite Patriarch of Antioch and the whole of the Orient , Elias Pierre Hoayek ; Co- consecrators were Paul Aouad , Archbishop of Cyprus ; Chucrallah Khoury CML , Archbishop of Tire ; Anton Peter Arida , Bishop of Tripoli del Libano ; Bishop Abdallah Khoury ; Bishop Paul Akl ; Bishop Pierre Feghali ; Bishop Louis Joseph El-Khazen OAM ; Ignace Mobarak , Archbishop of Beirut and Archbishop Elie Richa .
