Elisabeth Biebl , also Elisabeth Biebl von Klipstein-Sporrer (born May 8, 1915 in Munich , Germany ; † December 4, 1989 there ), was a German operetta singer ( soubrette , soprano ) and actress.

Life

As a child she performed at the Munich State Opera, where she trained as a dancer. From 1930 to 1931 she was engaged as a dancer at the Gärtnerplatztheater, then for a year at the Bayerische Musikbühne, a traveling company. She then studied music and singing in her hometown. Her musical career began as an operetta soubrette at the Stadttheater Fürth , of which she was a member from 1934 to 1938. In 1940 the artist moved to the State Theater on Gärtnerplatz . There she excelled in 1942 under Fritz Fischer in the singing / comedy Gitta . In the 1950s and 1960s she was a celebrated star at the aforementioned theater, where she played alongside Harry Friedauer , Rosl Schwaiger , Dorothea Chryst , Ferry Gruber , Martha Kunig-Rinach and others and was part of the ensemble until 1978. Furthermore, Elisabeth Biebl took part in several (TV) films. She played u. a. the Annamirl in the first film adaptation of the Schwank Die Drei Dorfheiligen (1949) , the landlady Neudecker in The Wedding Lader in the television series Königlich Bayerisches Amtsgericht .

The artist found her final resting place in the Munich forest cemetery . Elisabeth Biebl was married three times, including the operetta singer Hans-Heinz Bollmann and Ernst von Klipstein , whom she met while filming The Three Village Saints .
