Elisabeth Moltmann-Wendel

Elisabeth Moltmann-Wendel (born July 25, 1926 in Herne ; † June 7, 2016 in Tübingen ) was a well-known representative of feminist theology .

Career

Moltmann-Wendel grew up in Potsdam and studied Protestant theology in Berlin and Göttingen . In 1951 she received her doctorate on the basis of a thesis on the concept of church and theology by the Dutch theologian Hermann Friedrich Kohlbrügge . She was married to the systematic theologian Jürgen Moltmann from 1952 until her death .
