Giovanni Beltrame
Giovanni Beltrame (born November 11, 1824 in Valeggio sul Mincio in Northern Italy, † 1906 in Verona ) was an Italian linguist and Africa traveler .
Life
Beltrame went to Khartoum and Fasokl as a missionary in 1854 on behalf of an Austrian missionary society . In 1858 he moved with the pro-vicar Ignacij Knoblehar to the newly founded station Heiligenkreuz on the White Nile near Gondokoro . In 1859 he traveled to the Sohat and returned home in 1862 .
