Elisabeth Reichelt
Elisabeth Reichelt , née Schäch (born February 7, 1910 in Coswig ; † May 7, 2001 in Dresden ) was a German opera singer ( coloratura soprano ).
Life
After her training at the orchestra school of the Saxon State Orchestra , the singer made her debut in Düsseldorf in 1934 . Between 1936 and 1972 Reichelt was engaged at the Dresden Opera , where in 1944 he sang Ännchen for the last performance of the old opera , as well as the Queen of the Night , Gilda , Despina , Zerbinetta and Traviata . She gave guest appearances in Vienna , Hamburg , Cologne and Munich .
Reichelt died in Dresden in 2001 and was buried in Coswig.
