Elisabeth von Thadden (born April 1, 1961 in Göttingen ) is a German journalist , literary scholar and non-fiction author.

Life

Von Thadden studied literature and history in Freiburg , Paris and Berlin . She received her doctorate from the Albert Ludwig University of Freiburg with a dissertation on Goethe's Die Wahlverwandlungenen .

After graduation, she worked during the turn , first as an editor at the Berlin weekly post and the Berlin newspaper . She has been working for ZEIT since 1999, where she is responsible, among other things, as literary editor for the political book department.

family

Elisabeth von Thadden is the daughter of Wiebke and Rudolf von Thadden and the sister of Ernst-Ludwig von Thadden . The resistance fighter of the same name, Elisabeth von Thadden, was her great-aunt. Von Thadden has two children.
