Elizabeth Teissier , even Madame Teissier (* 6. January 1938 as Germaine Elizabeth Hanselmann in Algiers ) is a Swiss-French astrologer , also known as mannequin and actress worked.

Life

After graduating from high school, Teissier began studying medicine at the Sorbonne in Paris , then switched to the philosophical faculty after a year and studied literature and French philology and sociology. In the 1960s she worked as a mannequin, among others for Coco Chanel , and at the same time began a film career. From 1966 to 1975 she took part in 15 films, mainly in French. Film partners were u. a. Marcello Mastroianni , Burt Lancaster and Jean-Paul Belmondo ; she played supporting roles.

In the 1970s she began to study astrology. She gained fame through TV shows, books and as a consultant for celebrities. In the 1980s she was present on German television and moderated the Astro Show from 1981 to 1983 together with Horst Buchholz , later with Hans Peter Heinzl on ARD .

In 2001, despite the protests of some scholars, Teissier received her doctorate in sociology from the University of Paris V (“Critical study of astrology and its ambivalence, fascination / rejection in postmodern societies”).

She has two daughters from her marriage to André Teissier du Cros. She lives in Geneva.
