Life
After studying music (piano), Heinzl initially worked as an industrial clerk. In 1977 he was discovered as an entertainer by the ORF regional studio in Upper Austria . In 1982 he had his breakthrough as a cabaret artist with Peter Orthofer . High profile won Heinzl through its radio and television broadcasting activities ( Wendelin Grübel , What a Circus , Astro show , chef at the quiz in red-white-red , time on the spit , we ask for planting , ridicule goodness , bottom line ).
From 1981 to 1983 he hosted the astro show on ARD together with the French star astrologer Elizabeth Teissier .
In 1984 he opened the 300-seat K&K Theater , a converted cinema on Wienzeile . This theater was the venue for Heinzl and many other small artists such as Helmut Qualtinger , Cissy Kraner and Hugo Wiener , Dolores Schmidinger or “ Die Hectiker ”. At the end of 1995 the stage was closed for financial reasons.
His last programs were “Idiots in power!”, “999 years - The Austrian soul on the couch” and “Friendship - memories of someone difficult to educate”, of the latter there is only one “video recording in the circle of friends from Cafe PLEM PLEM from May 9, 1996 “- he could no longer perform this program in public.
Little is known that he was also interested in multi-media applications in 1992 and that he started a cooperation with the then Apple dealer "Hard + Soft". An early project were portable reading devices that were used in an exhibition at the Künstlerhaus in Vienna to call up additional information via infrared on individual exhibits.
