Elke Josseline Karsten (born May 15, 1995 in Quilmes , Argentina ) is an Argentine handball player who belongs to the squad of the Argentine national team.
Career
Karsten played from the age of eight for the Argentine club Asociación Alemana de Cultura Física de Quilmes . The backcourt player joined the Spanish club Club Balonmano Femenino Málaga Costa del Sol in January 2016 . For the 2017/18 season she moved to the Spanish first division club Balonmano Bera Bera . In 2018 she won the Spanish championship with Bera Bera. In the summer of 2019, she joined the Hungarian first division club Debreceni VSC .
Karsten took part in the 2013 World Cup with the Argentine national handball team, where she scored 13 goals. In 2015 she won the silver medal at the Pan American Games in Toronto and the bronze medal at the Pan American Championship . At the 2015 World Cup , she was a member of the Argentine squad. She also took part in the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro . At the Pan American Games in Lima in 2019 , she won another silver medal.
