Elke Müller-Mees

Elke Müller-Mees (alias Torsten or Thea and Thomas Conrad ) (born January 24, 1942 in Berlin ; † June 26, 2011 in Mülheim ) was a German writer .

Life

Elke Müller-Mees was born in Berlin and later moved to the Rhineland , where she spent her childhood in cities such as Düsseldorf and Ratingen . After graduating from high school , she began training at the Deutsche Bundespost , broke it off, studied German and history in Cologne and did her doctorate on emblems in the edification book . She taught and played theater with children and adults at secondary schools in Opladen and Erkrath as well as at high schools in Düsseldorf and Mülheim.

In 1979 she made her debut with Aschendorff with Rätsel um Philipp , a crime novel for children. Eight years later, she quit school as a senior teacher and turned to writing. Since then, Müller-Mees has worked as a freelance writer in Mülheim an der Ruhr.

Müller-Mees published over 40 books without committing to any particular genre. In addition to children's thrillers, horse books, poems and sketches, word and language games, non-fiction books about men's and women's clichés and advice on medical topics, she also published humor books. Of her poems can be found in tip of the iceberg , the selection of poems to literary prize Ruhr 1986. She worked on the film Women in war for the broadcast women's issues of the WDR . Elke Müller-Mees was married and had three children.
