Elke Schneiderbanger (* 1959 ) is a German manager and managing director of the TV and radio marketing company ARD -Werbung Sales & Services GmbH. The journalist previously worked as a presenter for television and radio stations.

Life

After an internship at the Obermain-Tagblatt in Lichtenfels from 1983 to 1985, Elke Schneiderbanger worked from 1985 to 1986 at the radio station Neue Welle Bamberg and then - until 1988 - at Radio Charivari 98.6 Nuremberg (then: Neue Welle Franken, Charivari Nuremberg). At the same time, she took over the editorial team at Charivari from 1987. In 1988, Schneiderbanger moved to Antenne Bayern as a morning presenter. In September 1990 she also took on the position of deputy editor-in-chief at the Ismaning private broadcaster. Almost two years later - on July 1, 1992 - she became editor-in-chief and deputy program director. This position was held by Schneiderbanger until 1996.

In 1996, Schneiderbanger moved to Radio NRW in Oberhausen as managing director and program director . At the end of 2009, Schneiderbanger left the management of Radio NRW GmbH.

From 1990 to 1996 Elke Schneiderbanger was also seen in television formats. Between April 1990 and March 1991, Schneiderbanger was the presenter of the show Wir in Bayern on Sat.1 Regionalfernsehen Bayern. From March 1991 to October 1992 she worked as a moderating editor for the political journal Rundschaumagazin on Bayerischer Fernsehen (BR). From November 1990 to December 1992 she was also the face of the weekly, nationwide Sat.1 TV magazine Zauber der Berge on Saturday afternoon.

Elke Schneiderbanger has been managing director of ARD-Werbung Sales & Services GmbH (AS&S) since June 2010 and is therefore responsible for marketing advertising time for Germany's national public television program Das Erste as well as the German public radio stations and various private radio stations. "We are in a happy situation because we represent the last two mass media of our time - radio and television", said Schneiderbanger in 2014 at the 6th German Media Congress of the specialist magazine Horizont .

Elke Schneiderbanger is a member of the advisory board of the German Radio Prize and the journalists' advisory board of the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung . She was an honorary member of the jury for the Axel Springer Prize for young journalists for over ten years. For 15 years, Schneiderbanger was also a juror for the BLM Radio Prize of the Bavarian State Center for New Media (BLM) .
