Elke Wijnhoven (born January 3, 1981 in Beers , North Brabant , today Elke Wijnhoven-Schuil ) is a former Dutch volleyball player .

Career

Elke Wijnhoven started playing volleyball in her home country with the clubs Sonas Activia, De Schalmers and Micro / Electro. In 2001 Libera went to Italy to join Vicenza Volley for a year . Then she played for the German Bundesliga club SSV Ulm 1846 , with whom she won the "double" in 2003. In the categories “Acceptance”, “Defense” and “Libera” she was the undisputed number one in the rankings of German volleyball in 2003 and 2004 . After the Ulm bankruptcy, Wijnhoven played again in Italy in Forlì and Tortolì . When coach Avital Selinger pulled together the Dutch national team at Martinus Amstelveen in 2006 , Wijnhoven played another season in her home country and in 2007 won the "double" here. After returning to Italy, she won the Italian championship three times in a row with Robursport Pesaro . In addition, he won the European CEV Cup in 2008 and the Italian Cup in 2009. In 2010 Elke Wijnhoven ended her active career.

Elke Wijnhoven played for the Dutch national team for many years .

Private

Elke Wijnhoven married the Dutch volleyball and beach volleyball player Richard Schuil on June 6, 2009 . Their daughter Lisa was born in March 2012.
