The Ellbognerspitze (also Ellbognerspitze ) is a 2552  m high mountain part of the Peischel group of the Allgäu Alps . In the Peischel group, it is the highest and most westerly peak. The Klotzemannscharte separates the Elbogner Spitze from its neighboring summit to the northeast, the Peischelspitze .

Ascent

The Elbognerspitze can be climbed on a marked trail over the southern flank from Oberellenbogen in about 4 hours. The path leads first over a forest road and later on a path through steep, wooded terrain to the saddle level. From there it goes to the rocky summit structure, which can be overcome without any significant climbing difficulties.
