Ellen Sprunger (born August 5, 1986 in Nyon ) is a Swiss heptathlete . With 6124 points, she holds the second best performance by a Swiss woman of all time, and she is also part of the Swiss elite in the sprint .

Athletic career

At the end of 2008, Ellen Sprunger was accepted into the World Class Potentials funding project of the Swiss Athletics Association . Her younger sister Léa Sprunger (* 1990) is also a track and field athlete, both competing for COVA Nyon . Ellen Sprunger has been trained by Swiss all-around trainer Adrian Rothenbühler since 2010.

She was part of the Swiss 4 x 100 meter relay and, together with Sarah Atcho, Salomé Kora and Ajla Del Ponte, held the Swiss record in this discipline with 42.87 seconds, which she set at the 2016 European Championships in Amsterdam have set up.
