Elmischwang is considered a wasteland and is an officially named part of the municipality of Markt Fischach in the Swabian district of Augsburg in Bavaria ( Germany ) and is located in the hill country of Stauden , north of the Neufnach and the Staudenbahn in the Wollmetshofen district .

history

The community part emerged from Elmischwang Castle and also bears the topographical name Castle . In the 1987 census, 26 residents were found in two residential buildings. Elmischwang was, among other things, the seat of Baron Hugo von und zu Aufseß , who lived here from around 1890. The baron was heavily involved in the neighboring district of Wollmetshofen. For example, he initiated the establishment of the small-bore shooting club Wollmetshofen which was founded in 1928. The wood for the rifle house , built in 1928, came from the forests of Elmischwang.

In a forest south of Elmischwang there is still a private grave of the von und zu Aufseß family.
