After her release she did illegal resistance work, was arrested again and sentenced to three years in prison by the Freiberg Special Court on July 24, 1934 for distributing communist pamphlets, maintaining the KPD and defamation of the Reich government. She had to serve this sentence in Waldheim prison . After her release from prison in 1937, she was declared “stateless” and was left on her own, as her son Herbert Hentschke also lived in the Soviet Union . From 1938 she worked again as a weaver in the mechanical weaving mill in Zittau.
In 1945 she rejoined the KPD and in 1946 became a member of the SED. From 1946 to 1950 she was a member of the Oberseifersdorf community council.
