Elvir Ibišević (born February 10, 1998 in Tuzla ) is a Bosnian - American football player .

Career

society

Ibišević played in the Academy of Sporting Kansas City until 2016 . From 2016 he studied at the University of Nebraska Omaha and played for the university team Omaha Mavericks . He was also used on the side for Des Moines Menace . For the 2018/19 season he moved to Slovenia for NK Celje . He made his debut in the 1st SNL in August 2018 when he came on as a substitute for Lovro Cvek in the 59th minute against NK Krško on the fourth matchday of that season . In October 2018 he scored his only goal for Celje in the 1st SNL in a 2-1 win against NK Triglav Kranj . After 22 appearances in the top Slovenian league, he left Celje after the 2018/19 season.

In August 2019, he completed a trial training session with the Austrian Bundesliga club TSV Hartberg , but was not signed. In September 2019 he finally moved to Germany to the regional league team BSG Chemie Leipzig . After six appearances in the regional league , however, Ibišević left chemistry in January 2020. In January 2020, he returned to the United States and moved to the third-rate Union Omaha .

National team

Ibišević made his debut for the Bosnian senior team in January 2018 when he came on for Luka Menalo in a friendly against the United States in the 84th minute .

Personal

His cousin Vedad (* 1984) is also a soccer player and also a Bosnian national player.
