Emil Bechert

Emil Bechert (born July 9, 1843 in Mosbach ; † August 6, 1898 in Karlsruhe ) was a Baden administrative lawyer and politician.

Life

Bechert studied law at the University of Heidelberg and became a member of the Corps Suevia Heidelberg in 1860 . After completing his studies, he entered the administrative service in Baden and in 1866 became an official in Pforzheim and in 1869 a senior official in Karlsruhe . In the course of setting up a German administration in Alsace , Bechert became district director in the Schlettstadt district and sub-president of the Alsace general government. In 1874 he became a government advisor, in 1877 a ministerial advisor in the Baden Ministry of the Interior and in 1896 a state commissioner for the regional commissioner district of Karlsruhe .

He was a member of the Second Chamber of the Baden Estates Assembly as the successor to Julius Neßler from 1875 to 1879 as a member of the electoral district of Karlsruhe. He was a member of the parliamentary group of the National Liberal Party .
