Emil Döll (born on May 24, 1850 in Bad Reimannsfelde near Elbing ; died on December 15, 1924 in Leipzig ) was a German economist and supporter of Eugen Dühring .

Life

Emil Döll attended the secondary school in Elbing and the commercial school in Gotha . Then he devoted himself to commercial practice at home and abroad. At the beginning of the 1870s in Odessa , Döll got to know "Natural Dialectics" through tips from his brother Hermann Dühring's, which he later characterized as "an equal counterpart to Kant's Critique of Pure Reason ". In 1873 Döll began studying at the Friedrich Wilhelms University in Berlin and heard various lectures from Dühring. In 1881 he moved to Leipzig. Since 1882 he has been teaching commercial science at the public commercial school in Leipzig. In 1884 he received his doctorate from the University of Leipzig . He was later a lecturer or professor at the Leipzig Public Trade School.

Döll is less known for his economic writings. Rather, he was the most important propagandist of the teachings of Eugen Dühring including his anti-Semitic ideas.
