Emil Evers (pianist)

Emil Evers (actually Ferdinand Bernardus ; born January 17, 1861 in Hildesheim , † December 1, 1934 in Hanover ) was a German pianist , music teacher and composer .

Life

Because of his pianistic abilities, Evers was “very much appreciated” both as a soloist and as an accompanist.

The Riller Quartet , which had been formed two years before by the Hanoverian opera orchestra musicians Otto Riller , Bruno Meuche , Friedrich Rammelt and Ludwig Püschel , joined the Riller Quartet from time to time as a pianist to perform chamber music .

Emil Evers worked as a composer and pianist in Bückeburg at the court orchestra there . The then Prince of Schaumburg-Lippe appointed Evers as his court pianist .

In 1897, Evers founded together with the baritone Hermann Brune and the piano teacher Karl Leimer at Akazienstrasse 1 in Hanover what was initially a private conservatory , which later became the Hanover University of Music, Drama and Media (HMTMH).
