Emil Forselius

Emil Forselius , actually Lars Emil Jansson , (born November 23, 1974 in Västervik , Sweden ; † March 1, 2010 in Södermalm , Stockholm ) was a Swedish actor .

Life

Forselius grew up in the small Swedish town of Tandsbyn , which belongs to the Östersund (municipality) in the Swedish province of Jämtlands län , and visited the Swedish anti-drug aid organization Hassela Solidaritet several times in his youth or was also involved in the project.

From 1998 to 2002 Forselius studied at the theater school in Stockholm (Teaterhögskolan i Stockholm) . He made his film debut in the Swedish film Tic Tac , produced in 1997 . For his appearance as Lasse the Skinhead , he was awarded the Swedish Guldbagge Film Prize in 1998. In 2007 he also appeared at the Värmland Theater at the world premiere of "King Erik" (Kung Erik) , where he played the role of the king. His last role was in Mankell's Wallander episode: Inkasso , which premiered on June 16, 2010 in Sweden.

Forselius had suffered from major depression for several years and committed suicide on March 1, 2010. On March 2, 2010, he was found dead in his home by his mother. He leaves behind his wife and son.
