Emil Hellrath
Emil Hellrath (born July 18, 1838 in Rees , † June 1, 1923 in Munich ) was a German landscape painter.
Hellrath studied from 1857 to 1859 at the Royal Prussian Art Academy in Düsseldorf with Josef Wintergerst , after which he was a private student with Oswald Achenbach until 1861 . After completing his studies, he worked as a freelance artist in Munich, Dresden and Amsterdam , and finally settled in Munich in 1865.
Hellrath took part in exhibitions in Vienna , Munich and Dresden . He is assigned to the Düsseldorf School of Painting .
