The Gscheibte Loh natural forest reserve is a nature reserve in the Manteler Forst ( unincorporated area ) in the Upper Palatinate district of Neustadt an der Waldnaab in Bavaria .

The nature reserve is located about 7.3 kilometers south-east of Grafenwöhr . It is part of the Nature Park Northern Upper Palatinate Forest , the landscape conservation area LSG Bohemian hills in the western district of Neustadt adWaldnaab , the Fauna-Flora-Habitat type region Lohen in Manteler forest with Schießlweiher rhinestones and Weiherkette , the EU bird sanctuary -region Manteler forestry and natural forest reserve Gscheibte Loh .

The approximately 109 hectare area consists of damp lowlands in which there are peat stores . The term Lohen describes such landscapes locally. After previous drainage, peat was extracted in the protected area between 1947 and 1953. At the end of the 1980s, the drainage ditches were closed, the natural, drain-free basin situation was restored and the new growth of the moor was initiated. A former raised bog and the development stages of silting and bog formation need to be protected here.

The nature reserve was designated on February 14, 1981.
