The Schießlweiher near Schwarzenbach is a nature reserve in Schwarzenbach in the Upper Palatinate district of Neustadt an der Waldnaab in Bavaria .

The nature reserve is located about 2 kilometers southeast of Schwarzenbach. It is part of the Nature Park Northern Upper Palatinate Forest , the landscape conservation area LSG Bohemian hills in the western district of Neustadt adWaldnaab and Fauna Flora Habitat type region Lohen in Manteler forest with Schießlweiher rhinestones and Weiherkette .

The approximately 28 hectare area is part of an old chain of ponds, the main function of which was to ensure a constant flow of water to the hammer mills in the Haidenaab Valley . Here the very nutrient-poor conditions in the catchment area of ​​the tributaries have led to the development of a very rare pond bottom flora. The Schießlweiher is owned by the Bavarian Nature Conservation Fund . Rare plant species and communities can be found here, as well as silting areas with intermediate bogs.

The nature reserve was designated on March 20, 1998.
