Emil Küchler (born November 9, 1844 in Krefeld , † February 7, 1885 in Halle ) attempted an assassination attempt on the German Emperor Wilhelm I and the German princes who had traveled to the Niederwald monument on September 28, 1883 . The plan failed.

Küchler was executed with the guillotine by executioner Krautz from Charlottenburg on February 7, 1885 , together with the planner of the attack, August Reinsdorf , in the Rote Ochsen in Halle .
