Emil Rau
Emil Rau (born November 29, 1858 in Dresden , † November 15, 1937 in Munich ) was a German genre painter.
Emil Rau first studied at the Dresden Art Academy with Leon Pohle and Ferdinand Pauwels .
Since May 1, 1879, Rau studied at the Royal Academy of Arts in Munich , first in the technical painting school of Wilhelm von Lindenschmit the Younger and later with Sándor Wagner .
Emil Rau worked as a freelance painter in Munich from 1883. His works appeared in the " Gartenlaube " and were also exhibited in the Munich Glass Palace.
