Emilio Ruiz del Río

Emilio Ruiz del Río (born April 11, 1923 in Madrid , † September 14, 2007 ibid) was a Spanish special effects artist .

Live and act

Emilio Ruiz del Río first studied art at the Real Academia de Bellas Artes de San Fernando in Madrid. From the 1940s he was initially active in film as a matte painter and set painter. He was soon able to take part in international productions.

In the 1970s he was active in model construction and specialized in the area of attachment models , miniatures that merge in the camera image with the real image. From 1990 he was nominated ten times for the Goya and awarded three times.

In total, he acted in more than 450 films.
