Emma Ribom (born November 29, 1997 ) is a Swedish cross-country skier .

Career

Ribom, who starts for the Piteå Elit, completed her first race in the Scandinavian Cup in Piteå in January 2014 , which she finished classically in 52nd place over 10 km. At the Nordic Junior World Ski Championships 2015 in Almaty , she achieved 26th place in the sprint. The following year she won the gold medal with the relay at the Nordic Junior World Ski Championships in Râşnov . In addition, she ran there on 20th place over 5 km classic, seventh place over 10 km freestyle and fifth place in the sprint. In March 2016 she became the Swedish junior sprint champion in Torsby . At the Nordic Junior World Ski Championships 2017 in Soldier Hollow , she came in 15th place over 5 km freestyle and sixth place in the sprint. In the 2018/19 season she achieved fourth place in the overall ranking of the Scandinavian Cup with five top ten placements. At the beginning of March 2019 she achieved her first podium places in the Scandinavian Cup on the mini tour in Madona with third place in the sprint and second place in the tour standings. In the same month she ran her first World Cup race in Oslo . With the 26th place in the 30 km mass start race she got her first World Cup points. At the U23 World Championships in Lahti in 2019 , she finished 18th in the sprint, 15th in the 10 km freestyle and seventh place in the 15 km mass start race. After finishing 26th in the Ruka Triple at the beginning of the 2019/20 season, she finished third in the relay in Lillehammer . At the end of the season she achieved ninth place on the ski tour and 23rd place in the overall World Cup. At the U23 World Championships 2020 in Oberwiesenthal , she won the classic 10 km and the bronze medal in the 15 km mass start race and the gold medal in the sprint.
