Emmerich Zensch

Emmerich Zensch (born December 20, 1919 in Vienna ; † April 2017 ) was an Austrian senior athlete .

Life

He was a multiple world record holder in various disciplines of athletics in various senior classes. His collection of medals included several world and European championships as well as national titles in the special disciplines high jump , pole vault and triple jump .

World records

Zensch holds the world records in high jump in the age group M85 (1.22 m; set up on July 26, 2005 in Edmonton ) and M80 (1.34 m; set up on May 20, 2000 in Traun ).

successes

At the European Senior Athletics Championships in Ljubljana in 2008 , he won gold in his age group (M85) in the high jump (1.15 m), pole vault (1.90 m) and triple jump (7.01 m)
