Energy Rhineland-Palatinate

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Energy Rheinland-Pfalz (also known as NRJ Rheinland-Pfalz ) was a private radio broadcaster that broadcast a youth-oriented program ( CHR ) on five VHF frequencies in Rhineland-Palatinate from January 8, 1996 to December 31, 1997 . In 1998 Rockland Radio took over these frequencies.

history

NRJ Rhineland-Palatinate was created in early 1996 as an offshoot of the French radio station NRJ after the licenses for the VHF support frequencies of Star Sat Radio and RadioRopa in Rhineland-Palatinate expired. After an unmoderated test phase in January 1996 , the official programs began in April of the same year with their own team of moderators. At the end of December 1997, NRJ had to end the program because the media supervisory authority for the State Center for Media and Communication did not renew the broadcasting license. In the following year, the frequencies were taken over by Rockland Radio .

Transmission area

The program was also broadcast in Rhineland-Palatinate cable networks and Astra Digital Radio .
