Engelbert Buxbaum

Engelbert Buxbaum (born February 6, 1831 in Dirlewang ; † September 5, 1911 in Augsburg ) was a mechanical engineer and member of the German Reichstag .

Life

Buxbaum attended elementary school and completed an apprenticeship as a locksmith. He undertook extensive trips, during which, in addition to his trade, he mainly trained in mechanics and in the relevant technical schools. In 1851 he founded a locksmith's shop, which from 1859 produced agricultural machines (from 1869 also threshing and forage cutting machines). In 1883 his business went into Epple und Buxbaum AG, in which he was involved as a shareholder and acted as a supervisory board.

From 1884 to 1890 he was a member of the German Reichstag for the Schwaben 5 constituency ( Kaufbeuren , Mindelheim , Oberdorf , Füssen ) and the German Center Party .

Between 1887 and 1892 he was also a member of the Bavarian Chamber of Deputies.
