Enno-Ilka Uhde studied music and opera singing at the Wiesbaden Conservatory, and later German studies , political science and philosophy at the University of Frankfurt . He lived and worked in Wiesbaden before he found the center of his life in Karlsruhe . In February 2012 Uhde was appointed professor at the Karlsruhe University of Music for his life's work.

As a director for opening ceremonies and award ceremonies, he has worked for the German Football Association since 1999 and for UEFA since 2006 . He also staged the Confederations Cup 2005 including the inauguration of the Commerzbank-Arena in Frankfurt and the inauguration of the Coface Arena in Mainz. In addition, he was responsible for major and corporate events for customers such as VEBA , Burda and Züblin .

Enno-Ilka Uhde came to painting at a young age, first figuratively, then later abstract-expressionist. By fading over with his own font, he gave the originally abstract-expressionist picture an unmistakable note and in the course of time came across "modern history painting" (according to Peter Weibel ). For the 300th anniversary of the city of Karlsruhe in 2015, he painted 301 time steles that linked world history with Karlsruhe history year after year. For the celebrations of the 25th June anniversary of German unity, he “scribbled” 26 steles with texts that reflect the events of the past 25 years of unity year after year.

At the same time, Uhde is professionally involved in the design and conception of 3D films for his productions, philosophy and aesthetic theory .
