Enno Bommel

Enno Bommel (born April 16, 1962 in Duisburg ) is a German lawyer . He was elected judge at the Federal Court of Justice on July 2, 2020 .

Life

Enno Bommel was in 1991 by the University of Bielefeld with a dissertation on the forfeiture to the doctor of law doctorate . After the second state examination in law, he first joined the judicial service of the state of Lower Saxony in 1991 and then switched to the service of the state of Saxony-Anhalt . After assignments at the Osterburg District Court and the Stendal District Court , he was seconded to the Naumburg Higher Regional Court and then worked at the Magdeburg District Court . From there he was seconded to the Federal Court of Justice as a research assistant from 1994 to 1997 , where he was assigned to the 2nd Civil Senate , which was responsible in particular for company law . From 1998 to 1999 he worked again as a judge and from 1999 to 2017 as presiding judge at the Magdeburg Regional Court. Since then he has been director of the Halberstadt District Court .

When his appointment as judge at the Federal Court of Justice took effect, the Presidium of the Federal Court of Justice assigned him to the IV Civil Senate, which is responsible in particular for inheritance and insurance contract law .
