Career

Nigiotti caught the attention of Caterina Caselli in 2008 , who signed him to her Sugar Music label . His first single Addio was created in collaboration with Michele Canova Iorfida and Elisa . In 2009 he applied for the ninth edition of the casting show Amici di Maria De Filippi and reached the final phase. When he and his girlfriend at the time, the dancer Elena D'Amario, were about to be eliminated, he withdrew from the competition. After the release of the first self-titled EP , Nigiotti initially withdrew from the public.

After unsuccessful participation in a music competition organized by Mara Maionchi , the musician succeeded in getting a new record deal with Universal through manager Adele Di Palma . In 2014 he qualified for the newcomer competition of the Sanremo Festival 2015 , where he presented Qualcosa da decidere and achieved third place. His first album of the same name was then released, followed by other singles and a series of concerts, including the opening act of Gianna Nannini . In 2016, Nigiotti had a brief appearance as an actor in the film The Overjoyed (La pazza gioia) by Paolo Virzì .

Again the musician disappeared from the scene for a while, a renewed application for the Sanremo newcomer was unsuccessful. At the end of 2017, Nigiotti finally entered the race for the eleventh season of the casting show X Factor . At the Sanremo Festival 2019 , the singer Nonno Hollywood presented and reached tenth place.
